Attorney

Adam Smith is an associate in the firm’s Litigation & Dispute Resolution Practice Group, where he previously clerked for two years during law school. His practice encompasses a diverse range of areas, including Commercial Litigation, Complex Litigation, Construction Claims Litigation & Arbitration, and Insurance Litigation. Adam engages in various litigation tasks, such as conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, preparing clients for depositions, managing discovery processes, and representing clients in court hearings and settlement negotiations. He is dedicated to delivering strategic and assertive representation addressing each client’s specific needs.

Adam is a graduate of Creighton University School of Law, where he earned his degree cum laude, and he holds a cum laude undergraduate degree from Wayne State College. His academic achievements underscore his dedication and strong work ethic, which he brings to every case he undertakes.

Adam's philosophy centers on the importance of excellence and integrity. His approach to legal challenges is marked by determination, creativity, and a compassionate attitude. Clients can count on Adam to adeptly navigate the complexities of their legal disputes, always with a commitment to achieving favorable results.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Adam is deeply committed to giving back to the community. He volunteers as a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters, helping to support the growth of young individuals needing guidance and positive role models.

Outside of work, Adam enjoys long runs, attending concerts, and cheering enthusiastically for his favorite teams: the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Creighton Bluejays, and Kansas City Chiefs.

McGrath North Welcomes New Attorneys Adam Smith and Michael Cooley

McGrath North is pleased to announce the addition of two attorneys to its team: Adam Smith, joins the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group, and Michael Cooley, joins the Real Estate Practice Group. Both attorneys completed their Juris Doctor (JD) degrees at Creighton University School of Law and served as law clerks with the firm.
